LA MALETA DE POTBOU
In English, the suitcase of Portbou. There barely are magazines of contemporary thought in Spain and La maleta de Portbou is one of the exceptions. Its name is a tribute to the multi-faceted German thinker Walter Benjamin, who willingly ended up his last days in the border village Portbou, tired of running away from nazism for thinking, for being Marxist and for being Jewish, when only one of these reasons would have been enough to be condemned.
This illustration was the cover I did for the issue #0 and it became the iconic poster of the magazine later.
